jdtom, David Bradley wagon?
(Preview)
Tom, would happen to have the brochure on a David Bradley wagon? I have a barge wagon I think it's a David Bradley. I would like to see what the decals looked like and where they went. It has a Case running gear and I don't know what the hoist is. Thanks Ron

A quick brochure post this week - MM Model SK Two-Row Mounted Huskor
(Preview)
Here is one of my recent purchases - a brochure for the Minneapolis-Moline SK Two-Row Mounted Huskor. This is the one they called the "Rock and Roll" picker - you rocked it back on its parking stands and then just drove your tractor out from under it. Anyone have one of these? I didn't realize...

JD 101 value
(Preview)
I was offered $600.00 for a 101 that has been repainted, new tire, and absoutly no dents or scratches. Nothing has been wore out, as it was a very very small farm, around five to ten acres picked each year. I guess that is probably a decent price, so what do ya all think? I'm new here, so perhaps there is a b...

(Preview)
This last weekend in Monona Iowa there was a 234 on a trailer with the husking bed and sheller attachement. At first I thought the load was going to scrap, but seemed to be stacked too nicely on the trailer for scrap. Just wondering if it is for anyone here? Jim

Difference in IH 1-PR and 2-PR sales numbers
(Preview)
Any reason as to why IH sold around 14,000 1-PR pickers between 1953-74 and only around 1500 2-PR during the same period? 2-row mounted IH pickers were just that popular with farmall owners and competition for 2-row pull-types was so tight that IH couldn't sell to non-IH tractor owners?

Today's brochure - how you get the ears from the wagon to the crib!
(Preview)
Since I went off on a tangent with last week's brochure, I thought I would continue in that direction today. You need something to get the ears from the wagon to the crib and the most common (and easiest) way is by using a flight elevator, or more specifically for today's brochure, a Kewanee elevator. At...

Something different this week - John Deere Wagon Boxes & Hoist brochures
(Preview)
We all enjoy playing with our corn pickers but I think everyone would agree that they wouldn't be as much fun if there wasn't a wagon trailing behind to catch the ears! So I thought I would post one of my favorites this week. Actually, these are 4 separate pieces but they all go together so I wanted to show t...

Adapting polytin to a NI picker
(Preview)
I crinkled the inner divider on my NI 324 on a frozen-in rock this past season. I saw a JD 300 picker where the owner had put polytin on its 244 corn head. Looking at my own 244 head that's on the combine, I may be able to adapt polytin dividers to the 324. I know I need to install all the NI hardware from...

Dad's Old Picker

Wondering if anyone can help with some info. Back in the early 1950s my dad had an IH pull type picker. I can just barely remember it. It had an elevator that came out the side and a wagon hitch that could swing around for transport or field use. I've been told by some older neighbors that it was a 2 row.(can'...
