Hey guys, Im new to the forum. Im in the process of restoring/painting a 1968 New Idea 309 snapper, and was curious to see If anyone else has restored a New Idea picker and has any tips. Also does anyone know where to get New Idea paint? -Thanks, WCB

The inside snapping rolls must have a stripped gear - they don't work, so I just pick one row at a time, which is plenty for my little 8N. es

Did Deere have a rear elevator version of the 200 before the 300 picker? I though I saw some literature for a 200A once that was a 200 with a rear elevator, but I could be wrong.

I have a question about a 2M galvanized cornpicker that I intend on restoring. A few of the corner seams on the elevator are splitting. Is there any trick to welding the galvanized metal, or should I just skip that if it is a hassle and brace the corners with some other metal? My Dad, who used to use it, h...

How well does a sheller do with shelling if their is snow on top of the corn? Would the snow break up enough before it got in the sheller so that it wouldn't fill up everything? I have corn in a pickett crib and might need to shell some corn for feed. It has a fair amount of snow on top already and we might be g...
