time for some picker pictures

Show us your picker pictures.  My computer is having some difficulty at the moment, but I will post the BIG stash I have when I get a chance.

Here's my 227 the day after I bought it.  Been sitting in a shed since the late 70's.  It was an adventure mounting it, as it had settled in the dirt and I've never mounted one before, but it worked out.  It looks 100 times better with the dust washed off!  I'll have some more pics when we pick in about two weeks.  I've also taken the elevator off and put on a no. 50 sheller.  It all works, amazingly!!  It looks huge on the tractor, until it's parked next to a combine!!

What tractor is that mounted on, like a 60? Never been around a JD mounted picker, would like to look one over. Seen a few 2 or 3 row JD pull type pickers. Mostly NI and some Oliver and IH pickers around here.

It is mounted on a 60.  Will probably mount in on my 730 diesel next year, though.  175-200bu corn pulls the heck out of that 60!!  JD and IH are the only picker's i've seen around here in NW Mo, but that's not to say there weren't others used back in the day.

Here's a pic of my "new" harvest toy.  I know it's not a picker, but around here both were used until grain bins outnumbered cribs.  She runs like a top!!

We aint picky, pictures of any harvest machine is pretty well accepted around here! I know what you mean about the grain bins outnumbering the cribs, we have 6 cribs around here, probably the most in the whole county.

I think that is the best looking 227 I have ever seen.  More than enough sitting in weed patches in this area (SW Wisconsin, not necessarily around my home area).  Looks good on the 60, I bet it would look good on a 30 series though.  LOL, things sure weren't designed for 175-200 bu corn, I hope to run one of my pickers through that kind of yield some day!!!  Thanks for the pics!!
