I was just curious if anyone has picked any ear corn yet? I would like to pick a little here in SW Minnesota but from what I've been hearing from the ones who have started combining corn is that it is already 14-18% moisture - too dry for picking!
Starting picking last wednesday, dont have any pictures, been busy running wagons. Its kinda wet, about 26%, holding off for alittle while. Was using the NI 327, havent gotten the M and 234 out yet :D
I got done picking yesterday morning (in the rain). Made around 170 bpa, so i was pleased. Testing around 14% moisture, but i was shelling on the go, so that was ok. The corn was lodging bad, so that made for some slow going! The JD 60 and 227 handled it, though.
I'll post the pictures as soon as I get some more time. Harvest seems to be taking up all my time right now. Beans in my neck of the woods are great, 55-65 bpa, and the corn's not too bad, either, 165-210 bpa. Hope everyone's harvest is going well. Stay Safe!!!
