Corn Picker Reunion Video

Has anyone ordered this?  I have their video of Power From the Past, taken at Rantoul, IL., with the 3 steam engines pulling the huge plow (about 2 inches deep, with some bottoms not even in the ground), but other than that not a bad video, EXCEPT for the inane yapping of the announcer, who must feel that without his commentary, it wouldn't be worth watching.

Art  I ordered one Friday,  should be here Monday or Tuesday.  I'll see how good it is.  I agree with you, less talk or especially background music, I want to hear the machine working.

I got it in the mail Tuesday,  it is 80 minutes long & an EXCELLENT video,  if you want to hear the pickers & tractors,  that's what you hear, absolutely NO background music other than a couple minutes at the beginning & end.  Hats off to High Yield productions this is the best one that I have got from them !!!!

I got my DVD today, pretty good video.

I was surprised in that there were NO IH pickers at all, and only 3 JD pickers, 2 PT, and a 127 one row mounted picker. I would have assumed that since this man is in real corn country in Illinois, that he would have been flooded with JD and IH pickers. There were several Oliver and NI pickers, but the nicest one of the bunch, and doing a really good job of picking was the red 2 row mounted Ford picker.

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I'm putting a book together on corn pickers and did not know anything about this forum (I guess I'm not the computer geek I thought I was). The Corn Picker Reunion DVD was at our farm and if you look real quick there is a short shot of an IH 1 row PT picker but the tractor pulling it was not running right. I had other pickers lined up that day such as; IH 2 row mounted, JD 2 row mounted, and a MM self-propelled corn picker, but these guys had to cancel because the harvest in Nortern IL was running behind. I was hoping to have more of my pickers running such as the MH self-propelled picker and others, but I was just too busy before and during the corn picker show. There will be another corn picker reunion at our place in 2010 with, I hope more variety of pickers.
Take care, Bob

You should put up a link to your webpage.  I had wondered why there were no IH or JD 2 row mounted pickers in the video.  The Red Ford was VERY impressive.
