I bought the sheller today.  I paid $400.  The dealer said that it has never been put on a picker and all I will have to do is oil the chains.  We're going to have about 80 acres of corn this year and thought we might pick it all with the picker and sheller.  The dealer said that it was about a $3,000 to$4,000 unit when it was new.
