I'll bet that there aren't very many of those pickers around! Nice pictures - what was the steering wheel on the back LH corner used for?

It's a flywheel. Since the machine is ground driven, they put it on to help make it easier to pull and smooth things out. I wonder what it did when the team of horses started going downhill with it?
