This week's brochure is one of my all-time favorite brochures (of all equipment, not just corn pickers). As you can tell as you browse through it, I have had it for a very long time. It shows quite a bit of wear and I even wrote my name on it! I'm sure I picked this one up at the Clay County Fair when I was a kid and these pickers were brand-new! This was the pinnacle of New Idea picker development - as it says on the cover "Widest Choice of Tractor-Powered Corn Harvesting Systems". Inside is information on the 1-, 2- and 3-row pull-type pickers as well as the 2-row mounted picker. Plus the whole array of attachments - husking beds, snapper elevators, shellers and grinders. There is no print number on this brochure - I'm guessing it's in the early to mid-1970's. So now all of you can enjoy it for awhile - it's been in my collection for over 30 years!

Can you let me know the specification weight for a NI 2RW and supersheller NI 329. I cant make it out from the attached picture in this thread. I am pulling one a long distance and would really like to know the actual weight to make sure I have enough truck to pull it.
Tom, I hadn't seen that brochure before. I must seen if I can find one for mine collection. Do you have any new brochures to put on the forum...other brands of pickers?
Search under term "brochure" and you can see several JDTom has posted. My problem is I can't read the specification pages to determine weight. I am guessing 2,500 for the NI 2RW and 1,000 #s for the 329 sheller attachment.
Well that explains why it was shelling so much in the snapping rolls. The Massy F. has a 2 speed shifter for the PTO never had it in anything but 1000. Thanks

And for those who have asked - I haven't added any new brochures in the last year or so. Thank you JDTom for looking that up. This will be my first picker (324 with 329). This was my first year planting and hand picking about 5 acres of corn and shelling it with a motorized John Deere 1B hand crank corn sheller. My son's first attempt at feeding calves during his first year at college. I guess you could say we are moving on up in the world with 1970's equipment LOL. Love the forum.
