Multi-luber system on JD 237

Thanks to everyone that has given me guidence thus far.  I made post a year back about a JD 237 picker and 50 sheller and what their worth was, well I bought them both and are getting ready to pick.  I have question about the mulit-luber system on this machine and that is, how do you know that this thing is greasing all bearings and shafts?  There are 24 per header and they are located in hard to get and hard to see places.  To check them I have been taking them loose at each point of contact and making sure grease is coming out.  I hope that each fitting is taking grease once I put them back together.  Do any of you have any suggestions or tips on this?  Thanks for your help with this.

Miles

I think you are doing it right. There really is no good way to tell if every bearing is actually taking grease.

If the lines are all intact the plunger "should" stop at the point of the line that is plugged.  If the line has a hole in it this won't work.  You are then getting rid of grease from the reservoir but not to the bearing it needs to go to.  Mike
