Hi guys! Long time picker, first time poster. I'm looking at buying a New Idea 701 Uni with a husking bed and 3 row narrow corn head. Is there anything to look out for on these machines? Whats a good price range for one? Are the plastic fingers over the husking bed available? Ive been using an Oliver 83 and I'm not happy with the shelling its been doing and the husk it leaves. Thanks for the input.
Check out several posts on this forum for sources for replacement rubber picker fingers. As far as shelling and husking problems, I have pretty good results on both issues from a 324/327 pull-type unit. More on this forum have experience with Unis--there are several posts about them.
