This is the first year I have used my 237 and it works like a top and I plan to post some pictures for you all soon. I am so proud of that machine. However since I have been running it and people have came to watch it work they have asked, "wonder what something like this cost new?" Being a young lad I have no idea of the new cost. Do any of you that came up in the era when these things where sold new at the dealer know what they sold for?
I'm sure it will depend on what year the picker was bought new. I have a John Deere dealer price list from 1961 and although it is older than your picker in that year a 227 picker listed for around $2200 if memory serves me right. My guess is by the time the 237was produced it was $3000 and up, depending on options and year. Mike
