I have decided to sell my JD No. 6 corn sheller. I would like to get a Minneapolis-Moline or Cook sheller next and I don't have enough shed space to keep all of them so something has to go. I purchased it used in 2004 and I have kept it stored inside since. The previous owner kept it shedded most of the time also except for the last year he had it outside. I have used it several times since 2004, shelling around 2-4000 bushels each time. I just finished using it this September to shell out 2100 bushels. It has seen a lot of use over the years but still does a good job of shelling. As you can see in some of the photos, there are some patches on different parts of this sheller to cover up spots that have worn thru the sheet metal. I have replaced a few worn chains and a bearing in the interim as well as a few other parts that were still usable but I found some parts in better shape to replace them with. I also have extra parts (some new, some used) that I have collected for this sheller over the years and those will go with it. A previous owner made the shop-built crib drag rack and added rollers to the entire length of the drags (2 sections plus the incline) so the whole thing can be pulled out of the crib tunnel with a hand winch mounted on the front of the rack - works pretty slick! I also posted some more pictures of it in action on the other section of this forum. I am asking $1800 for the sheller and am willing to listen to offers after you have looked at it. Thanks!

jdtom, Am interested in this sheller. Is it still for sale? Since we are located so far apart (we are in Millersburg, OH), I would like to get a shipping quote from uShip. I will need to know the overall demensions: L X W X H and the approximate weight. Thanks!

I will get you the demensions within the next week. I am not sure how to figure out the weight without pulling it across a scale (unless the book has it). We have had it sitting on blocks for a number of years.
Yeah, my sheller is still for sale. I looked thru the books I have for this sheller and I can't find any shipping weights listed. I do know it is heavier than a 1200 or 1200 MM sheller. I can get some dimensions from the one in the shed sometime.
It is 25 feet long, 10 feet wide and about 10 feet high. I can't find a weight for it listed anywhere but I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000 to 5000 lbs.
