NI 323 corn saver bed

Has anyone ever removed the corn saver bed from a New Idea 323 Picker?

I'm just about fit to be tied with that buzzard binding up on me, and just want a little re-assurance that the world won't end if I do it.

The guy I got my 323 from took the corn saver bed out and he picked 26 acres afterwords. I picked corn last weekend and it worked fine for me, it just threw the shucks straight to the ground.

Thanks Hoosier, that's what I was wanting to hear. 

I got busy Saturday morning and removed the chain, top and bottom beds and after some trial and error I removed the two angled support brackets as well. Picked all day Saturday with no problem at all and in fact hope to finish up within a day or two if it keeps going like this.
