i have a galanized wide linsay flare box and in the front corn were front and side bolt together there is a 6 inche crack in the side from the prev. owner had 4 and a half foot sides on it plus a bang boards on it man i bet u could load that with a nice load of corn but look what happen so how could a guy fix it he drilled a hole in the back of crack and put a fender washer on in side and out side and bolted it same thing closer to front of crack but i dont like the looks of that so can i fix this other then that

I'd remove the galvanization where you are going to weld. A light touch with an angle grinder or even a stiff knotted wire wheel on an angle grinder should do it. Then get a can of cold galvanizing compund to touch it up when you are done.
Can you post some pictures of the wagon? If it's the wagon I think it is, down here in SW Minnesota there are still a few wagons like that in the area and you could probably find a nicer one or one that you could get some replacement panels from. Then you wouldn't have to worry about repairing the one you got and trying to make it look nice afterward. Just a thought - unless the one you have is a "family" wagon with sentimental value.
well we have four flare wagons that type and the wagon and box to good to junk it not faded or any think to bad and good floor we bought it 5 years ago my dad did and have used it every year but it was my dads so i want to fix it so it dont get worse cuz this year is 2 years ago that he passed away he was 52 so i dont want to junk or sell it just want to fix it to use and not look to bad uknow just want to to look like there was never a crack there thanks jd tom
