Well I attended the corn picking show today in Walnut Illinois. It was damp morning but the sun came out this after noon and turned out to be a great day and the people that brought corn pickers got to pick some corn. This show is also going on tomorrow (Sunday) and if you can make it I would encourage you to attend as there is plenty of pickers and corn to be picked. I also enjoyed meeting some of you from the forum.
I think that is the first tractor I have ever seen sporting a Mounted picker and Front loader, at the same time !!

Great pictures Charlie! Did the fellow with the A-C #17 picker get going alright? We tried to help him out some to get it set but was difficult with the cameras there.
"The best laid plans of mice and men go awry"....that about sums up my weekend.
My plan was to come down Thursday night, stay over night and come to the show on Friday. Mother Nature had different ideas. Since Friday was wet and it seem to push the corn picking weekend to Saturday, I couldn't make it down on Saturday. I am bummed.
I am glad to see all of the pictures! Is there going to be a video available of the weekend's activities?
Jim I was at the south end as the pickers came out of the field after being filmed and I did not see him at the south end. So I dont think he did get it going.
A BIG THANK YOU TO KEVIN LARKEY for everything you did for me and all of us so we could pick corn.
I got to see first hand a LITTLE of what goes into getting a show on the road and it's a hand full and the weather didn't help. I enjoyed the visit with all the people and missed visiting with some of the one that are no longer with us.
Charlie as always you did a good job with your pictures.
Kevin and his crew do a great job fo putting on a show, even though it turns out "wet". After 3 rainy shows, I wonder if he would call a "dry" show "PLAN B"?
Tim,who sang the National Anthem, was very good. Hope they got him on tape for the DVD.
Thanx Kevin for a great weekend. Very well laid out and planned. Even with the non cooperating weather...a fine event. I have to say that I ain't had that much fun since the pigs ate my little brother!!!!! :>)
THANK YOU !!! Kevin, you did a great job under lots of preasure. After having the first two picker reunions I know how much work you had to do and your reunion was more than twice the size of what I had. Also thanks to Charlie for operating one of my pickers and for the great pictures. Looking forward for the DVD and the next reunion. Take care and God bless, CornPickerBob

You ALL are welcome for the pictures, that was the easy part. I appreciate every one bringing their equipment and allowing me to get any type of photo or video I wanted of their equipment. Also Thank you Bob and Kevin B. for allowing me to operate your pickers I really do appreciate it. And once again Thank you Kevin for hosting this great event. Also Thank you Bob for bringing your picker posters and literature.
I talked to the fella who owned and operated it...forgot his name. Said it was built in 1950, and didnt have much us on it. Seemed to work well .
Always makes me think of these old machines in that when theri first owners bought'em, they were thinking; this is state of the art equipment and it's gonna make my job a lot easier!!!
Thanks for a great day, Kevin. The picking was ideal and it was nice to visit with the other picker enthusiasts. We appreciate what you do for the farming community. Don Ward and crew.
