Walsh Flair Box Wagon

My son recently purchased what we believe is a Walsh Flair Box wagon.  It has a manual hydraulic jack type hoist.  The name Walsh was cast on the jack.  We are unsure how this hoist works.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have attached some photos.  Thank you.

Any ideas anyone. We believe there are some parts missing for the hoist. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC, there should be a cable that loops under the hook on the box and over the loops on the hoist. As you raise the jack, it should pull up on the box.

Thank you treekiller. That makes a lot of since but the 2 hooks on the hoist do not move. We believe there may be a missing part. Thank you again.

Thank you treekiller.  I have attached a couple more photos of the jack assembly.  Hopefully this helps.  I can't believe that it is this complicated.  LOL

Need to see a pic of the top of the jack. I think there should be a pulley or something on it, so when you jack it up it pulls the cable and raises the box. Surely somebody has seen one of these before.

I'm with treekiller, I think there was a pulley on the top.  The more I look at these pics, I think we had one laying around 25 years ago.  I'll have to ask Dad or Grandpa what ever happened to it.
