New Idea questions

Hi!

New to the forum.  Our group and myself recently purchased two New Idea no. 7 one row pickers, and we're trying to figure out how old they are.  Is there a list of serial numbers that we can refer to in order to determine the age of these?  I've been reading some of the other posts here and some guys seem to know what year theirs is.  How many years were these made?

We also have a no. 300 two row picker and would like to know its age also.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of other questions once we start working on these machines.

Thanks in advance!

Go to Agco.com go to parts , on the right go to guest parts books, put in #7 and New Idea brand , then it will list lot #s and years. The lot# on a plate on a vertical angle iron in front of the fan. I have a 1950 lot # 118 ser# 21416 . good luck Don

Don, is there another name for that website?  When I click on your link it takes me to a site which has nothing to do with farm equipment.  Or am I missing something?

That one worked.

Turns out, both of the pickers are 1950 models.   One is Lot # P112, serial # 11232,  and the other is lot # P118, serial # 21299.

Thanks for the help!
