HELP NEEDED, CHAIN ON AUGER ON SUPER SHELLER KEEPS COMING OFF.I TIGHTEN CHAIN, PUT A HALF LINK IN. WE MAKE IT A LAP OR TWO AROUND FIELD & ITS BACK OFF. NO STALKS CAN GET IN THERE FOR WHAT I SEE.
One problem I found on my JD 237 is when my chain sprockets weren't lined up perfectly it would throw the chain. I'm not sure if this would apply to a NI 329 as I'm not familiar with them.
The sprockets don't look to bad. I was going to try a new chain next. Other wise I will have to check into sprockets. Any suggestions were I can find them. I got a new fan belt from a AGCO dealer. But that was the first part I had to change out. I am only on the 3rd season since purchase. Thank you for the help.
If the teeth on the sprockets still look like sprocket teeth and not claws, you will probably be OK. If you need to replace the sprockets you may have to make your own from the welding shop's "weld-a-sprocket" display.
Had a similar problem. We found the bearing on the auger going to the wagon was out and the auger had a dent in it making he auger turn very hard in a spot. Check your loads down stream of that chain. Good Luck. Paul
