237's are hard to find in the NE and 227's are not a whole lot better. A fair amount of your cost will be shipping as most likely you will have to go from Ohio on westward. If the opportunity is there you may want to jump on it even if it is several hundred miles away and may run a couple thousand dollars in shipping. I am looking for a 237 but at this time I am not rushed so I will wait for the proverbial blue moon

When you find one, be certain that it has ALL the mounting brackets and such for that specific tractor.
I do not know if you can use the universal mount on that year of an 'A', but if so, then it opens up your search a little, since the universal mount will work on a late 'A', and a '60', and on up.
I see that you are on the door step to Canada. To expand on what I said previously back in the days when cornpickers were prevalent most farms in the Northeastern US were running single row pickers especially where row width was 36" or greater. During the 1960's row width was being pushed down to 30 inch rows while horsepower was going up. Farmers that could afford it started to make the move to combines and a lot of the others had enough tractor power to opt for a 2 row pull-type machine versus the task of having a tractor tied up with a mounted picker. Again, I am not trying to be discouraging but just saying you may have to invest a fair amount in shipping to get one where you live. Of course you never know what is going to turn up in someone's barn when they go to clean it out of old pieces. You might luck out and find something much closer.

Harrisburg PA Craigslist shows a 227 for sale. Pictures are not the greatest. It was last on a JD 70 but I can't imagine it would take much to get it on an late A.
