Wood Brothers wagon elevator.

Long post just so you know. I hitched my Wood Bros picker up to the DC Case, fired it up and everything ran except the wagon elevator. It seems the shaft on the rear that drives the elevator and the ear kickers above the husking rolls has lost whatever holds it tight on the slip clutch and it just pushes out toward the left side of the picker. I looked up the parts diagram on the New Holland website but couldn't find a keeper of any kind that appears to be missing. When the rain gets out of here in south-central Illinois I will dismantle the shaft and clutch assembly to see what I can find. Hopefully someone on here has had experience with this and give me some pointers as to what to look for. Sorry for the long post, any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dale.

WOW, Dad bought a Woods Bros 1 row picker to pick early field corn to dump on the ground for the feeder pigs still in the hog pasture. He removed the husking bed, made it a snapper only. We'd pick 40-50 bushel once or twice a week. That picker was OLD when he got it in the early '60's. I'm surprised there's parts look-ups available on-line. Ours sat outside all year. We'd grease & oil it before using it to pick 400-500 bushel of corn. Never had any problems with it.
Always took two tractors to pick and dump a load of corm. The '51 M still had the loader on it before going under the 2M-E mounted picker, no spare hyd remotes for dumping the wagon so M pulled the picker and H or SH dumped the corn in a long windrow.

Those pickers were really simple, your elevator problem will be a simple fix.
