Hello everyone I was fortunate enough to attend the show at Ottumwa Iowa this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day and I had a GREAT time there. I would like to thank everyone that had equipment there and all of the people involved in putting the show together. Here a few pictures from the show.

What is the widest rear tire size you can run with a 234 picker and pick 36 inch rows? Friend is setting one up on a 826 and trying to decide if 18.4's will work Or if 15.5's would be better.

I checked on my corn today and about 1/2 of the ears have dropped and it feel relatively dry but the ears are hell to pull off the stalk. So, does the picker need to rip the ear off the stalk and then husk or does it try to pull the ear out of the husk...

I know this isn't a corn picker picture, but this is how it was done before my family got their first one(a one-row New Idea)..... The mules are "Bud" & "Queen", the 25 acres refers to the field the corn was picked from somewhere between 1939 and 1941.

Thinking about upgrading from my case one row to something more modern and easyer to fine parts for,would it be smart to get a two row model as they are easyer to find and have the shelling opition on but only use it to pick one row at a time if the spacing didnt work out ?

Yesterday I got my 237 mounted and pretty much field ready. One gathering chain needs a slight amount of attention and the sheet metal on the bottom end of the wagon elevator needs a small repair and it really needs a bath but other than that she's ready for the field!

Here is something that I hope you guys can shed some light on. My buddy Josh found this brochure at a show, a Doane Stalk Cutter for an IH mounted picker. I have never seen nor heard of something like this. Has anybody out there ever seen, used, or know anything about this? Wow, this is crazy!!
