number of acres picked

For those of you that have pickers and still use them how many acres or bu. do you pick in a year.  Most years I will pick 2  1000 bu cribs full.  We grind this corn for your cows.

We plant about 60 acres each year, all picked. We grind it also for the dairy cows. Usually, I open the field up with my 234 and dad picks the rest with the NI 2 RN. We plant the headlands to 38" rows. Good topic BTW

Not too many years ago we picked ALL our corn with a 234: 200-300+ acres worth.  Filled the 20x70 with HMEC ground with a Gehl 99 recutter, and put extra in three 1000 bushel cribs.  Just at that is over 30,000 bushel.  What a phenominal harvesting machine.

I pick about ten acres every year to put in a couple of corn cribs to grind as calf feed. I pick with a NI 309 snapper and got 4 wagons that I use. I pull the the picker with a MF 275 tractor. I like to one day get a NI 325 picker. Plant with a AC 333 four row planter on 30 inch spacing.

For two years I planted 100 acres to pick for the picking show, and we picked all of it last year and 75% the year before. I just picked with the NI 325 2 NR this year about 7-8 acres to fill a 2000 bu. wire crib.

Picked only about 8 acres this year. Picked most of it with a JD 300 with 2 row head. For fun also picked with a JD 200, Blackhawk 1 row, and a Case 2 row snapper
with a side elevator. Most of the corn will be bagged up and sold to local stores for "critters".
Have a great year! CornPickerBob
