Spotted Ford Mounted Picker

I spotted a Ford 1 row? mounted picker on Friday for sale near Lewistown, IL. This picker is blue in color. I know nothing about a Ford Picker but can stop sometime and look if someone is interested, it is for sale along with alot of other items. It is at the Junction of 136 and 24 southwest of Lewistown and straight west of Havana.

I have pictures on my camera from the Wauseon show this past year that has a Ford mounted picker, it was a one row, not a true mounted, more semi mounted like the one row Deeres.

I would post them, but I dont know how to upload then post pictures on this Macbook of my buddies.

I picked this 601 1 row up about a year ago. There was a 602 2 row and a 601 1 row picker / sheller.

Pretty sure that is it. I will need to take a closer look when I get over that way.

That one mounts up like the FarmRite model I have. Mine is smaller and more compact, though.

Massey-Ferguson had a #61 1-row mounted.  I only ever knew of one around here.  It was the MF dealer's brother who used it on his MF50 tractor. I don't think MF actually made it.  I found a manual listed on e-Bay that shows a good picture.  Does it look like your Farm-Rite at all??  The #61 could also have been a Belle City picker, as Harry Ferguson sourced his from there.

It looks SIMILAR, but my Farmrite is smaller, and has a tire on the head side. It mounts up to the 3 point arms and they are used to raise/lower the head. It is a compact, simple little thing. I need to get some photos of it. I plan on starting a resto on it soon - and hopefully will be able to document it. That's why I'm trying to find out all I can about it before I delve into it.
