I have seen where someone has removed the drive chain to the rollers and then covered them with a piece of corrugated tin. As long as the ear moving mechanism is working above rollers I think it should work, at least worth a try.
you may use stainless steel or thick plexiglass and elevate the top end and place the lower end as low as possible and give you a steeper incline and it should slide straight down without the aid of the kickers.
