Shortest one I saw was a 30 foot. I believe one of the others was a 48 foot, then there was a 36 foot. I think they were assembled with 6 foot sections, so there probably was a 42 foot and a 54 foot in there.
The brochures I have say that they were available in lengths from 18 to 62 feet. Individual sections were 4 or 8 feet long and I'm guessing that the head section was considered 2 feet long and the boot section was always 8 feet long. It looks like Deere had these Little Giant -built elevators in their line from the late 1960's until 1977 or 1978. The first year or two these were branded as the Model 321 Elevator and after that the Model 428. I don't know the differences between these two models (maybe there aren't any). Hope this helps.
Thank you very much guys. You have been a big help for a 30 year old trying to get some ol' machinery. My dad is 57 and I think he liked to watch that old corn picker in action this fall. Alot of stories were brought back to my dads mind. He told of grandpa and him and a ih 2mh on a M farmall. Thank again!
