I found out about three Ford pickers ten miles from me, all one owner and they range from, in the shed, just outside the shed, to in a pile. Need to go look and see what condition they are in.
Yeh they are always too far , for too much and i dont have a decent trailor and no storage, so i hate to take something myself to have it stay outside.
If it wasn't so far away I'd sure like to have it . We had one on a Ford 981 Select-o-speed sweet set up and good contest winning picker. Don Southeastern Iowa
where can i find info on what tractors this picker will fit . What about parts availability. someone mentioned that it has quartz snapping rolls. is that going to be aproblem? I am close by and am going to check it out. I am hoping to set up a two row mounted picker to do about 25 acres. I am tired of one row at a time.
Does the Quartz wear easily. And what do you do when it is worn out. Can it be recoated, or does the roll need to be replaced? I like collecting machinery, but they have to earn their keep so to speak.
