A good way to start a new year

Been picking corn on the wagons to grind off of for cattle.  The wagons are empty and had about a load to get picked but the ground needed to be frozen.

This will be all the picking for me until fall 2010.  Hope all have a good year.

funny that the 2 most popular tractors on here are ones that i used growing up for a neighbor. A 560 farmall and a 4010 john deere. I thought i was king of the world on those tractors back then. Now i know it lol.But i do think i sat a little higher when i bought my first tractor a wd allis.

Thanks for the great real action pictures . What is your wagon ,it looks like a 7x14? I remember several Christmas vacations from school that we were ear picking corn. I remember haveing the cribs full and haveing the elevator bring the truck mounted John Deere sheller out to the and shelling it from the wagons as we picked it. In 1961 we very wet and waited till it froze , and leaving the end rows because they were drifted too deep in snow. we finished them in the spring with our Massey Harris Super 26 with a Hume pickup reel that we also did 90 acres of beans that spring. We also put on a Hinson canvase and plexiglass cab that had no fan, but helped some. Don

That's great! What a way to start the new year! I'm glad it's not me though - right now it is -20 degrees here in SW Minnesota.

The wagon is a Big Bin made in Ks. It's a silage wagon that I picked up worth the money, works good for ear corn, it will hold about 150 bushels.

Tom, I'm the one in the pickup taking pictures, son Kevin on the picker.  I'm running around left handed right now, had to have the right rotator cuff repaired on 12-22-09.  I tore the rotator cuff from the bone the last Monday of 2008 so here I'm almost a year later getting it fixed.  I started physical therapy already, doing good so they say.
