I see he has raised his prices.  About a week ago he wanted $500 each.  He also had one more picker and two really nice shellers.  I just about bought these but he started jacking me around.  Three pickers for $500 each suddenly turned into over $3000 when I wanted everything.

Yeah, you run across that once in awhile. People who don't know much about vintage farm equipment usually just want to get rid of it at most any price UNTIL they run across someone who tells them about so-and-so who got a really good price for some piece of farm equipment that they sold at an auction somewhere. THEN all of the sudden the think that the equipment they are trying to sell is of the same caliber and are asking an enormous price for something that clearly is not worth anything close to that! Or in this case, when you wanted to buy everything he must have figured he was selling it too cheap and all of the sudden decided he wanted more. Most people who have a shed full of mounted picker would be tickled to sell it all in one lump and get everything out of there at once!

Thats kind of what I thought.  It took two weeks to get more pictures from him and then I told him what I wanted.   The next day he called and told me that someone else came and wanted the shellers, which is what I told him I wanted.  I just got tired of dealing with him and said I didn't want anything then.  There's more to the story but this gets the high points.

Do you still have the IH 234 corn picker? I know the post was made a year ago and I am new to the forum. I would have interst in the corn picker pending the condition and completeness of the corn picker.
