Well we kind of got rained out this weekend but we did get some picking in on Saturday afternoon I think 11 pickers picked. So the plan is to do it again this coming weekend.(Oct. 30th and 31st) Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative because there is still plenty of corn to pick and plenty for the spectators to enjoy. Hope to see some of you there and was glad to meet some of you that did make it this last weekend. Here are a few pics. The two older gentlemen on the Farmall MD are 72&76 year old brothers who were just loaded with wisdom and just great to be around. (They had the Ottawa sheller an M Farmall with a 2M-HD picker and a Massey Harris self propelled picker at the show.)
Larkey got some of his pickers and sheller out of the barn.
Charlie standing by his green picker chaser and Kevin on his MM.
My first load of corn on Friday opening up fields up and getting a few loads of corn for the shellers to start on.
Opening up fields.
Schnell Bros. Ottawa Model C sheller built 1930.
Fraase, Massey Harris and New Idea shines as good running across the field as it dose sitting and posing for a picture.
These two brothers made my trip to Walnut worth every mile I had to drive, I would drive twice the miles to see the Schnell brothers again. They will always have a warm spot in my heart.

I really enjoyed the pictures! I hope you have better weather this weekend. I wish my plans were open to make the trip to Walnut. Maybe next year!! Can't wait to see more pictures!!
Now I am really excited for this weekend, hopefully the wind didnt take down any of the corn. I hope to be there mid Sat morning and get picking with my M670 MM and Kevins H320 MM picker. I saw the earlier pics by Charlie and thought I'd recognized those blue overalls behind the super snoot on the MH/NI set up. Now I know it is my neighbor, Lloyd Fraase!
