We bought this picker at an auction early this fall just about 1 mile SE of the Cedar Rapids IA airport. We were told it ran we parked and we think that the picker has been on the tractor since it was new. This tractor is the most original Ive seen before. A few of the pinstripes are still visible!! It had no compression so we took the valve cover off and found 4 stuck exhaust valves but with a little penetrating oil and a little rattling we got them to come loose. It has more compression the the '35 F20 I restored! We replaced the elevator drive chain and the 2 #60 chains that drive the rolls and loosed all the other chains up. We got it running and picked some with it this fall and she does very well. Any questions just ask!
Nice find! Hard to find those nice original tractors, especially with all the picker accesories

That is truely great ~ it did a very nice job of picking b! Glad you got the bugs out and you can bring it to Walnut in 2012 ! It was nice that you guys came to the show this year ! Hope to see more of all of US crazy people !
Yes you guys did very well. I talked to you and your dad at the auction and I know you guys were very proud that day. (As you should be) I stopped there the night before the auction and a guy was taking a bunch of measurements of it because he is making a picker to scale of it for a pedal tractor. It was nice seeing you guys at Walnut. Here are a few pics. I took the day before the auction.
Nice looking tractor and picker! I like those tires on the front and back!! What is the story behind the middle snoot being galvanized metal not painted red like the rest of the unit? Is it a re-build? What are the other sheet metal pieces under the middle snoot? I know where there is an F20 with IH mounted picker sitting in a shed but it has been 20 years or so since I was in there to see it. Good purchase!!

The center snoot does have a lot of red paint on the inside, but over the years it has peeled off on the outside. The sheet metal under the snoot are large fenders for a picker we are not sure if they fit our picker or not but thats what we have decided what they are. Thanks again!
