NI 304 Mounted Picker

Hi everybody, I was told by the guys at the ytmag forum that you all could help me with my corn picker questions.  I have a NI 304 lot 188 mounted 2 row corn picker that is set up for a farmall 460.  The picker has been sitting in a shed for about 15 years and the drive sprocket that goes on the pto of the tractor has dissappeared.  I was wondering if anyone could give me the dimensions of that double sprocket (number of teeth, spacing between the sprockets, total length, etc) so I can make one or does anyone have any idea where I could get one for a reasonable price?  I havve tried the NI dealer but they cant even find the thing in the computer.  I also have been searching on the internet and cant find very much info on the internet regaurding the 304, are they somewhat rare?

Someone is dismanteling and putting parts on ebay. Also there are a couple of used parts places in PA that deal in that stuff. They are listed in the forum....

Good Luck!!

I looked thru my NI parts books and I had one for the 304 gathering unit. It is a double 31-tooth sprocket for #60 chain. I cross-referenced the number with the later model NI mounted pickers (305 & 319) and in many of the cases the number crosses over to the sprocket used on the newer machines.  Bottom line - you can get the double sprocket off of a 305 or 319 and probably make it work just fine! I'd have to look thru my parts stash to know for sure but there is a good chance that I have an extra one that I could sell - drop me a private message if you are interested.
