Stoped by the west side of the grounds today to do a little crop tour. Here are a few ears from today 8-1-11. Should be just right by the end of the month!! Not quite black layered yet but getting close!

On another note, it looks like they planted several more acres to corn than in the past too. Took a tour around the whole grounds (outside the fence of course) and didnt hardly see any beans planted anywhere. Good for us picker guys!

Granted I have a big hand (I'm 6'7") but they are only about 6" long. If I recall they were only about that size last time in '09 though. Not real big around either though, I think about 14 around.
