just looking for some ideas, I broke the feild open last nite with combine, then set it up for beans, so I could start picking, but, corn is 21 to 28% , I'm thinking maybe next wk mite fill an 1000 bu wooden crib. then fill wagons and leave set, I grind out of em in the winter for the cattle. most yrs I wait untill beans are done be for picking, but, last few yrs it has been really dry then shells more then I like, so this yr opened feilds before going to beans.
I've picked some around 24% and it kept good in open crib like that . I like picking mine around 21% and it don't shell off as bad and i keep it on concrete and it keep well.

I picked half a load onto the dump wagon on Monday before it rained again, and it came in at 30% . . . the whole thing got bagged into burlap and most of it has been sold to the deer hunters for immediate use . . . Cribbing has to wait because it's just too humid with all the tropical rain we've been getting blown up here over the past month.
