This past Saturday, Oct 8th, my dad and I got the NI 323 picker out for a little trip around the field. It was a beautiful day and the corn was ready to pick. We were picking a little to run through a MM D corn sheller I bought. We didn't get to run the corn through the sheller, yet. I bought this picker on a local farm auction lot for $75. I was just curious to see how much it would sell for. I was the only bidder! I could have sold it as I was leaving the lot. It works really well. I finally got to use my repainted MN 1472 barge wagon.
Now, onto mounting the NI 319 picker and getting a little more "serious" about picking some corn this fall. A friend of mine is a planning on bringing his mounted picker down to the farm to pick some corn. Hopefully, the weather holds out.
Thank you for posting the great pictures. The wagon looks great behind your New Idea picker. I would have to say as for your picker I think you got a pretty good return on your investment already.
