Kevin decided he wanted to fill a crib with ear corn and asked if I would like to help and of course I said yes that I would, (even though for me it was on a spur of the moment). It was a harvest moon so we even picked some that night. the night video turned out good but the still pictures not so well. In the one picture I am posting here is the yield moniter in the combine in the same area we was ear picking in. So sometimes we went a little slower but the New Idea 327 seem to handle the high yielding corn very well.
Again Thank You Charlie for coming over to help and as always does a great JOB of documentation !!!
Its not that the pickers could not handle it it just to have to have a tractor that can handle it !! GEARS- speed selection is the answer ! As you can see it was awesome corn ,and the picker handle it just fine , I just went slower ! I would do that all month long to pick corn like that !!
