10-10-11 CORN PICKING

Kevin decided he wanted to fill a crib with ear corn and asked if I would like to help and of course I said yes that I would, (even though for me it was on a spur of the moment). It was a harvest moon so we even picked some that night. the night video turned out good but the still pictures not so well. In the one picture I am posting here is the yield moniter in the combine in the same area we was ear picking in. So sometimes we went a little slower but the New Idea 327 seem to handle the high yielding corn very well.

Nice pics! Bet when they designed those pickers they never counted on 300 bushel corn!

Thanks for sharing your pictures! Looks like fun!! I like the cement area where the elevator is on--nice and level!

Again Thank You Charlie for coming over to help and as always does a great JOB of documentation !!!

Its not that the pickers could not handle it it just to have to have a tractor that can handle it !! GEARS- speed selection is the answer ! As you can see it was awesome corn ,and the picker handle it just fine , I just went slower !
I would do that all month long to pick corn like that !!
