On Saturday, October 22, Joe Bezdicek and I got together on the farm to have a little corn picking fun. Joe brought his JD 60 tractor with a JD 27 picker and I used an IH 656 with a NI 323 picker. We picked about 4 1/2 loads of ear corn which we turned into two loads of shell corn using my MM D sheller. It was a beautiful day and I hope everyone had a good time! My brother-in-law Roger and my dad pitched in as well as my sister Krista. My niece Lydia took most of the 230 photos. Maybe next year the guy down the road with the MH self-propelled corn picker can join us!

What is it about watching those ears of gold go up the picker elevator and hearing them hit the wood floor in a wagon that lets you know everything is right in the world?
