I'm new to the forum and never had a corn picker and was hoping someone could help me identify the picker that I just ran across. A guy was selling this picker for scrap and it's not in too bad of shape so I bought it from him. Can anybody tell from this picture what brand of picker it is? The name plate is very rusty and I can't make out any of the info.
Thanks for the reply. The tongue is angle iron - is that indicative of a No. 7?
One of the things I know that's missing is the sproket and mount that connects the PTO shaft to the main drive sproket. Do you know anywhere you can find one or a way to fab one?
Should be a 7, if I remember right the No. 10 had a c-channel tongue. One of my No 7's has a slip clutch and the other has a shear pin. You could try Ron Torsch Equipment (989) 379-4775, they were parting out a No. 10 a while back and quite a few parts interchange. Otherwise get in touch with Murn Tire and Tool 608-935-5858. Here are a couple pics of the two I have that might help you see about fabbing something up. Or do you need the rear gear and mount in the first pic?
