Hi all, I bought an old 323 a couple years back to pick alittle earcorn for steer feed. This thing shells corn like crazy, at least an inch or so off each end of the ear. Do they all do this? I tryed green corn, dry corn, long shank, short shank, different varities. I moved the snapping rolls tight, tryed them far apart, ran it fast, slow, dry of day, damp of evening. Basically anything that I could think of. Whats the secret? Hate leaving 20% of this high priced corn lay on the ground. Anyone have any suggestions? Guess I should have kept my 234 picker and stayed in wide rows. Thanks to all.
