Yes, I did it again. In my hurry to finish picking corn before it rained, I picked with the gravity box door opened and dumped about 15 - 20 bu on the ground!! Picking up the ears of corn I noticed the deer was enjoying my mistake, I remember what my Dad said back when we were farming full time and I spilled corn, my Dad would calmly say: "Well the critters have to eat too." Could be worse . . . I once made a round in a field of oats with the combine's clean grain elevator bottom door unlatched . . . would've taken awhile to pick that up.
