Here are pictures of my new toy. I bought a 706 for my 234 picker. I have a narrow front for it and just waiting for warmer weather to switch out the wide front end. The 706 I used last fall was a neighbors and he wanted too much money for it...plus it had 8900+hrs on it. This "new" tractor is in very good shape, TA is solid, and the clutch is strong. Plus, those rear tires are hard to beat, with out buying new. The tachometer reads 6100+ hrs. Okay, it did cost me a little bit with the wife but all is good!! Now, let's see what else is on my list of corn picking things to get....maybe a nice New Idea Uni with 2 row head and husking bed...that would be nice!!
Very nice, most of that generation of Farmall's around here look like they sat out hooked to a manure spreader for the last 20 years. They still bring decent money though.
This is definitely going to be dedicated to the 234 mounted picker. Maybe I can use it on the IH 120 sickle mower or whatever other little tasks. Time and money just fell into the right moment. I suppose I will have to get the 12 inch extensions for the picker. Maybe a new seat for a little added comfort. I think this tractor, like the others my dad and I own, will have a nice easy life.
