Identifying Parts

Greetings All,

New member to the forum.  I have a NI325 corn picker, and was at an auction yesterday where I bought two pallets of parts.  A local dealer was selling out, and they had rows of parts.  I pulled a number of parts from the pallets that I know I need for my picker.  However, there are a large amount of additional parts (that are numbered), that I would like to find out what they go to.  Is there any unified NI parts list somewhere, or do I have to go page by page on Agco Partsbook online to go to every model and see what is there.

Thank you for your help.

John

I'm working on a couple New Idea pickers and may be in need of some parts. I know one of them is a model 300 and has a sprocket and gathering chain missing. I don't have the parts book in front of me, but if you have any sprockets I can look up the no. and see if you have one.

This wasn't Forks Equipment's inventory by chance, was it?

Just try googling the part numbers. Sometimes you can find out what they are that way. Emphasis on "sometimes"

If you are fairly sure they are picker parts, the NI picker parts manuals are very detailed. You wouldn't have to search them all page by page, though. You might first narrow it down by guessing where it belonged and scroll through the page with the blow-up sketch for that section to find the number. Second thing, some of the parts are consistent with several picker models, so you wouldn't necessarily have to search every picker. I find a printed-out copy of the parts manual to be easier for this task than a digital copy. Tedious, but it might take some of the mystery out of it.
