How are the gearboxes lubricated on a 305 picker? Is it just from the grease zerk or do they need to be taken apart and lubricated. I don't want to keep pumping grease in and blow the seals out. The manual doesn't give any information on this.
Are you talking about what is called the "three-way gearbox"? If so, the manual I have for a 305 shows 3 zerks on this gearbox - they are tabbed "F" in the photo.
Yeah those are the gearboxes I'm referring to, just wasn't sure if the grease zerks where all that lubricated them. I didn't think the grease would actually get down to the gears.
