Antique Harvest Days is ON

The Antique Harvest Days show scheduled for this weekend (October 24 and 25) is ON.  As dry as it's been around here we could get an inch of rain and still have a show.  Come see us!  Mike

Doesn't look like I'm going to make it this year like I was hoping. Gotta try to conserve, as it looks like times may still be tough here in the near future. Hopefully next year. Someone out there be sure to get some good video and photos!

Look closely at the M-M picker near the end of this video and you'll see something startling.

Great photos!! It is always fun to see more pickers in action!!  What do you do with the ear corn.crib it or shell it?

Are you talking about the belt breaking?

And is that a Uni-Huskor mounted in some type of pull-type frame?

I like the IH 234 picker-sheller mounted on the JD 3020. I knew that they made brackets to put that picker on a Deere tractor, but I've never seen it done before.

Someday I'll have to make it to your Harvest Days just because I want to see that inside cup elevator in person!

Do you have any video of the upper end of that elevator in action?

And that paddle-type small grain elevator by the corn sheller is neat also. John Deere made a newer version of that elevator where the return chain/paddles were enclosed and it was mounted on a 2-wheel truck instead of a 4-wheel one. I have never seen one of these either in person or any pictures of one at any vintage farm equipment show anywhere in the US. Does anyone know if any of these newer small grain elevators exist anywhere?
