what is wrong with my corn picker? When my corn is on the conveyor , the conveyor stops with corn on it before it gets to the wagon, something is slipping I think. Anyone know how to fix this!
Does the elevator have a slip clutch on it? You should be able to hear it chattering if it was slipping. If it is you may just need to tighten it up some, or if it has oil and grease on it then it will need to be washed off if possible.
Does the elevator work when there is no corn in it? Can you turn it by hand?
You may have to observe it while running to see what is going on. Just be safe and don't stick your hands anywhere while it is running!!
Is the disconnect lever to shut the elevator off around corners fully engaged? You could just be running on friction until a little resistance is applied.
