Ever since my first participation in the corn picking event at the Don Struthers farm near Collins, IA. in 2013, I've wanted to take a group photo of all the M-powered pickers. I was able to do that on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
I was able to attend for the first time. I took the M at the front of the row for a round. Not being a Farmall guy, I can say that was the first time in my life I've ever driven an M. Back in my ear corn picking days it was a John Deere 620 with a New Idea picker.
It started drizzling on my first pass Southbound and by the time I had turned and headed back the corn was getting tough, plugged the rolls and slip clutch several times. Not having live PTO was frustrating and 1st gear in an M sure seems fast compared to other brands.
I took the Oliver 880 with #4 picker for a round later on in the day and much better fit for me. (Although you do need to be somewhat of a contortionist to get on & off tractor with that Oliver picker, LOL)
Thanks so much to the Struthers family! It sure was a fun day despite the drizzle and I hope to come back again next year!

Here are a few more, also showing some wagons and the MM sheller in operation. I've never seen a HORN flare box before, but this one really caught my eye. Classy looking sideboards on top!
