I was just curious if anyone has picked any ear corn yet? I would like to pick a little here in SW Minnesota but from what I've been hearing from the ones who have started combining corn is that it is already 14-18% moisture - too dry for picking!

I just went and looked over a farm aution south of Syracuse Mo. on D hiway and there will be a 227 JD picker and a Ford two row mounted picker on the sale this Saturday Sept 29, 2007. Took me awhile, but I got the tractor and picker ready to go. Took the tractor and picker to the show, left it, came back, left rear tire has blown out. Was a bad tire anyways, bought one that matches the right one. Here are some pictures of my beast of burden.

how are your yields for those in here who still use then or can compare them to the neighbors?what plant populations do you use?i've been thinking about going back to 36" rows to be able to open up my fields and maybe interseed between the rows .

Got the 708 Uni going MUCH closer to 100% now!!! Got the motor running after I don't know how many years of sitting outside, and ran like a charm. Couldn't get any power steering, though, and took the hydraulic pump to the dealership (hydraulic pump is brand new rebuilt) and it was assembelled upside...

Hey, been kinda dead around here lately, just wondering if any of you got all your corn in and what do you have for a planter set up. We use a IH 656 and a 56 6 row planter. Didnt get to plant any wide rows for my 234 so ill just have to take one row at a time.

Does any of you collectors have a 34-20 picker. We found one in Mo last Sept and have it`s companion a 24 on a Super H.. Also have a galv 2m w F-20 brackets and a 2MHD n a old M. In storage have a MH mounted 2 row. How many have used a 34-20 or a 24 picker? Thanks
