I recently bought a model 71 John Deere corn sheller and am wondering what years that model of corn sheller would have been produced. Does anybody have any information on that and if I can kind of narrow down what year mine was produced.

Here are some pictures I took while picking corn this fall. I have a 234 on a 706 and it does a great job of picking!! I custom pick for an elderly farmer who has organic ear corn. He plants around 30-32 acres a year.

I've seen ads or information for a couple different kinds of replacement finger wheels for NI pickers-- rubber ones from drsinc in Ohio, and a brush-type wheel from someone in PA. Anybody have experience with them, with an idea of which works best...and which lasts longest? Or other comments on them...

ran this in September at our club showgrounds ---- picked about 5 acres with it --- I wasnt impressed with the unit but got goat roped into driving it because no body else would! Tractor runs WAY too fast and picker plugged up all the time. Picker owner wants to take it to Rantoul this year to pick there!--...
